A graduate of local Gymnasia and member of ‘Young Pioneers’
youth movement, she passed the war years in Bialystok and was an active anti-fascist
in the ghetto
She acted as a liaison between the Jewish underground
units inside the ghetto and Polish underground resistance in town. After the ghetto
rebellion in August 1943, Bronia did much to save the thousands of Jews who
remained alive; to find them hiding places and means of existence. She kept in
contact and gave assistance to Jewish partisan units in the area and passed
them information. She was a member of the anti-fascist committee in Bialystok and
participated in activities that sabotaged the Nazis until the end of the
Holocaust and World War II when she emigrated to Israel
